About Parag

Parag Kumar Deka is a bilingual Indian writer and academic from Assam who writes in Assamese and English. He has contributed to various newspapers, periodicals, journals, anthologies, and has published four books.

He is also an occasional illustrator and book cover designer.

As a researcher, Parag has published in various academic journals. His essays and book chapters have been published by Palgrave Macmillan, University of Illinois Press, National Book Trust, India, Gauhati University Press, etc. 

He holds an MA in English from Tezpur University and an MPhil and a PhD in English Literature from Gauhati University.

He teaches English Literature at Lakhimpur Girls' College, North Lakhimpur, Assam (India).

He also serves as the founder-editor of the students' magazine Ékolom (একলম) and is engaged in various writing projects.
